This elegant Hope is inspired by the Edward L. Gallatin saddles. Gallatin
studied under Thornton Grimseley in St. Louis, Missouri. He was producing
saddles in Denver, Colorado, during the early 1860's. Union General Hugh
Kilpatrick is reported to have ridden a Hope saddle that had many
similarities to this design.
Our Hope has a full seat with jockeys, full underskirts, fenders and hooded
stirrups. It has a wide front rigging and a decorative horn cap.
A
beautiful border stamping graces the heavy US harness leather that is used
throughout. There are heavy steel rigging rings, brass footman stands and
breast collar rings.
Our newest Hope is not only beautiful but it is extremely comfortable to
ride.
